Course Description

The advanced student will take away from this course a Advanced knowledge of Tactical Handgun operation. Understanding and using the skillsets from the Tactical Defensive Pistol course and applying a deeper operational skillset in "Gunfighting". Also, the complete requirements to engage if a threat is encountered.

Course Objective:

Safe handling of firearm

Advanced loading and unloading procedures under duress.

Firing pistol with accuracy at a longer distance (Timed Evolution)

Advanced Movement Drills

Firing from concealment and different positions

Advanced pistol manipulation using single dominate and non-dominate hand with accuracy

Target identification

Tactical reloading

Malfunction clearance

 

Required Equipment:

Handgun with holster and 250 rounds of ammunition

4 magazines

Knee and elbow pads – recommended.

Eye and ear protection – Electronic ear protection is recommended

Ball Cap

Magazine pouches or dump pouch

Body armor (optional)

Clothing appropriate for the weather

Lunch, snacks, water (there will be limited time for lunch)

There is no Classroom Evolution in this course

Prerequisite: You must have taken Tactical Defensive Pistol (either group course or private course) prior to this course
