NRA Basics Of Pistol is intended for all individuals whether your just wanting the NRA education or requiring to move on to an NRA Instructor role in the future. There is no prerequisite for this course. Regardless of previous shooting experience. Course Objective: To teach the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. Length of Course: 4 Hours Classroom Course and 4 Hours Range Qualification (Required by NRA guidelines) Additional time may be desirable in order for student to qualify for Level 4 Range Quals. Course Lessons: 

• Lesson I: Pistol Knowledge and Safe Gun Handling 
• Lesson II: Ammunition Knowledge and the Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting 
• Lesson III: Firing the First Shots 
• Lesson IV: Two-Handed and One-Handed Standing Shooting Positions 
• Lesson V: Pistol Sports and Activities 

Equipment requirements:

• Semi-automatic pistol or revolver 
• 3 magazines for semi-automatic pistol or 3 speed loaders for a revolver 
• Holster and magazines for semi-automatic pistol or holster and speed loaders for revolver 
• 100 rounds of factory ammunition 
• Ear protection, eye protection 
• Hat 
• Comfortable clothing including tennis shoes or hiking boots (NO open-toed shoes) 
• Lunch, Snacks and Water. (There will be limited time for lunch 
• Upon completion of this course an 90% on written exam and successful completion of range qualification you will receive an NRA certified Diploma Classroom Evolution -Activity Center
• There is a (3) Student minimum - If class does not have required students signed up for scheduled date, students may be rolled into next scheduled date.
