The NRA Introduction to basic is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience.Course Objective: To teach the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. Length of Course:  3 Hours classroom and 3 Hours Range Qualification (Additional time may be desirable in order for students to develop skills before moving on to the next lesson.) ​Course Lessons:

• Lesson I: Pistol Knowledge and Safe Gun Handling  
• Lesson II: Ammunition Knowledge and the Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting  
• Lesson III: Firing the First Shots  
• Lesson IV: Two-Handed and One-Handed Standing Shooting Positions  
• Lesson V: Pistol Sports and Activities  

Equipment requirements:

• Semi-automatic pistol or revolver  
• 3 magazines for semi-automatic pistol or 3 speed loaders for a revolver  
• Holster and magazines for semi-automatic pistol or holster and speed loaders for revolver  
• 100 rounds of factory ammunition  
• Ear protection, eye protection  
• Comfortable clothing including tennis shoes or hiking boots,   
• Lunch, Snacks and Water. (There will be limited time for lunch)  
• NRA Course certificate upon completion
